No Papers on James at SNTS, BUT “birth from above”

The seminars that were held at the General Meeting for the Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas in Lund, Sweden on 29 July – 2 August did not appear to include any papers on James.

However, this paper may relate to James since James thrice uses the word ANOTHEN ‘from above’ in contexts that have to do with spiritual birth (James 1:17-18; 3:6, 15-18)…

Sadnes, Karl Olav. 2008. “Birth ‘Anothen’ (John 3:3-8): Epistemology and Christology in John’s Gospel.” Paper presented at the General Meeting of the Studiorum Novi Testamenti Societas; Lund, Sweden, July 29 – August 2.
